After "Fracas" (created in 1948), everyone in the perfume industry had only composed "riffs" on this formula when approaching the theme of a tuberose perfume. Dominique Ropion focused on the tuberose flower itself and decided to embark on new analyses of the evaporation of the natural tuberose fragrance (analyzing its so-called headspace, the volume left at the top of a container filled with liquid) to create the Carnal Flower Frederic Malle perfume. The result of Dominique Ropion’s bold composition, Carnal Flower, contains the highest concentration of pure natural tuberose of any perfume available today. Reaching this olfactory Everest meant two years of work and 690 trials. Carnal Flower redefines this category of perfume. It is one of our best-selling products.

Upon spraying, "Carnal Flower" leaves the impression of a natural, "florist-like" freshness.
It then evolves into a surprisingly sensual white flower that melts into the skin. It is undoubtedly the fragrance that features the highest amount of pure natural Tuberose.
One last thing! The tuberose used in Carnal Flower comes from the best crops in India where it is harvested once a year (instead of 2), at the best time of the day. The tuberose essence is extracted instantly but is then further distilled in Grasse, at the behest of Dominique Ropion. This ingredient of exceptional quality is an exclusive of Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle.
