Cashmeran is one of the greats of synthetic chemistry. Warm and woody, with a resinous pine note, it has an unusually complex character for a single molecule. It combines an enveloping, musky softness with dry, aromatic wood and a sweet, resinous pine note.
"Molecule 05 is a minimalist sketch of summer," says Geza Schoen.
As you would expect from a name like Cashmeran, it is warm and enveloping. To me, it evokes the sensuality of summer.
Cashmeran is both woody and musky. Yes, that is rare. But thatβs not all. It is complex and multifaceted, almost like a complete fragrance in a single molecule. How can something be both dry and creamy at the same time? It is a paradox. It has the dry quality typical of woods, but also a creamy aura that makes you want to cuddle.
What really enhances the summer feeling for me is the pine note in the molecule. When we think of pine, we tend to think of the clean, intense smell of needles. But the pine note in Cashmeran is different. It is the scent of pine wood. That smell, to me, evokes walking on a path of ancient trees whose wood has been baked by the sun all summer long until it exudes the final gasps of a resinous, balsamic breath. It even has something "Other." A fruity note. Cashmeran is one of those mysterious molecules that is difficult to describe in words," says Geza.
